Hi all, just wondering if anyone has published solely on Amazon kindle and what has your experience of this been please?
Was it difficult to do? Have you had much interest in you book?
Unfortunately, although I’ve received some lovely feedback from different agents about my book, I haven’t been successful in the traditional publishing route.…

Pretty straightforward Jenny. I’ve got a video on my SP course on here that talks you through it step by step.

Hi, I seem to have been locked out of the Hub again @obi-wan-kenobi @melissawelliver .
Was it something I said?

It’s being weirdly vigilant recently – might have to change some settings for our auto enrolment! Don’t forget that you can still DM me even if you can’t get into the hub, Alex

Hey, hive mind question! Can anyone think of a picture book where the main character has lost their home and is trying to find a new one?

Can’t think of one off the top of my head, but maybe one of the ones later on this list might prove useful? https://www.booksfortopics.com/booklists/topics/geography/houses-homes-buildings/

I have the same problem as Sarah below. I have been removed from the hub and so can’t access any of my groups.

Hi!
For some reason I can’t access any other groups or anyone’s post any more. Is this a wider problem with site at the mo?
thanks!
-
Hi Sarah! System sometimes does that – I’ve re-added you to hub members so just go ahead and request access to any groups you want from sub groups and I’ll let you in, sorry about that!

A question for unpublished, unagented writers – have you created your own website?
I have the online presence of a hermit crab and am wondering whether creating my own website is one of the many things I should be doing if I want agents to take me seriously as a writer. Any thoughts welcome.

Hi Wendy, I don’t have an agent at the moment, but have had in the past, and I do have a trad publishing deal. In my experience a website is not something an agent will particularly be looking for but might be a nice bonus, especially if it has original content related to what you’re writing about. Maybe have a look at published authors in…

Hi Wendy, I think if you want one, there’s no harm in it. But it’s not a ‘should’ – don’t feel you have to have one if it’s not in your comfort zone. Same as being on SM – it’s not essential.
I am agented but unpublished, and I don’t have a website yet.

Hi all!
I was wondering if you could help me with a question about the summer mentoring programme application. Since it’s just one application per person do we address the query letter to all three mentors?? Thanks for your help!
-
Yes! Just ‘Dear Mentors’ or ‘Dear x, x and x’ is perfect!
