Melissa Welliver is the author of three YA speculative books: My Love Life and the Apocalypse (2023, Chicken House); Soulmates and Other Ways to Die (2024, Chicken House); and The Undying Tower (2024, UCLan Publishing), with more on the way in 2026. She is known as a plotting obsessive and loves worldbuilding in her writing. Her books have been shortlisted for the Berkshire Book Prize, the Abingdon Schools Book Prize, the Dudley Schools Book Prize, the WCAT Book Prize, and one won the WriteBlend Book Awards 2022. Melissa’s books have been translated into many languages including German, French, and Turkish. Melissa is also a mentor and has coached over 100 writers, with many seeing success in traditional publishing through agent representation and publication. She lives in the North of England with her pet doodles, Maude and Zelda.
