We are delighted to announce the 2025 longlist for Idea Idol, our contest for story ideas which may be complete or still at any embryonic stage.
Our goal is simple – to encourage great ideas to be written and for the writers to complete those stories.
The obvious drawback is that ideas are not always executed well, and if an idea is great or not is purely subjective, but our readers, and agent judge, both have lots of experience with published stories and so can hopefully pick out those which have the most potential and also give feedback to indicate areas for development to make those ideas, and therefore pitches etc stand out.
My thanks to our brilliant readers who read every entry, and gave feedback on all those who paid the extra for it – it’s on it’s way very soon.
