SAT AM: Workshop One: Playful Writing: Exercises & tips to wake-up the creative part of your brain, generate ideas, and banish writer’s block.
SAT PM: Workshop Two: Finding your Place: Learn about the importance of location, and how to write convincing settings through techniques such as visualisation.
SAT PM: 1-2-1s: Vashti Hardy
SUN AM: Workshop Three: Internal vs. External Conflict: How to weave characters’ goals and circumstances into a plot arc.
SUN PM: Workshop Four: Creating Memorable Characters: Get to know your characters without tedious questionnaires.
Inclusive of the following:

Charlotte Lo graduated with distinction from Bath Spa University’s MA in Writing for Young People, and also holds a BAHons in Creative Writing. Her debut novel, We Won an Island, was published in May 2019 by Nosy Crow, and she is currently writing a sequel.
She mostly writes on the sofa in her pyjamas, but sometimes wears yoga trousers if expecting fancy guests. Whenever Charlotte’s not working, she can be found in close proximity to tea and cake. Charlotte lives near London with her husband, son, daughter, and the extraordinarily fluffy cat who rules over them all.
Vashti Hardy is a writer of children’s books living near Brighton in Sussex with her family. She was a primary school teacher for several years, and has a special interest in children’s writing, especially free-writing and the use of journals and creating fantasy worlds. She has a first-class honours teaching degree with English specialism and an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Chichester. After leaving teaching to focus more on her writing, she also became a digital marketing executive.
Vashti is an alumni member of The Golden Egg Academy and is represented by Kate Shaw of The Viney Shaw Agency. Her books BRIGHTSTORM and WILDSPARK are published in the UK by Scholastic. Brightstorm was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize and The BAMB Reader’s Choice Award and also long listed for the Blue Peter Book Award.
