SAT AM: Workshop One: Ideas and inspiration. A playful workshop to get stories started. Using a variety of writing prompts we’ll look at ways to get your imaginations and pens running wild!
SAT PM: Workshop Two: Creating characters and developing voice. A fun workshop in which we’ll use dialogue, point of view, biographies, roleplay and character profiles to bring your characters to life.
SAT PM: 1-2-1s: Sarah Todd Taylor
SUN AM: Workshop Three: Landscape and setting. Using the senses and mapping worlds, we’ll examine worldbuilding techniques and discover different ways in which a setting can inform and give depth to your stories.
SUN PM: Workshop Four: Plot and pitch. Structuring and submitting your story. How to plot your story from beginning to end and what to do with it once it’s finished! Editing, pitching and querying.

Eloise Williams is an award- winning author from Wales. Her books include Elen’s Island, Gaslight and Seaglass. She has an MA in Creative and Media Writing with Distinction from Swansea University and is currently working on Wilde, her fourth MG novel.
Having changed career path after working for over a decade as an actor, Eloise now divides her time between writing and teaching creative writing. She regularly runs sessions for Literature Wales, Ty Newydd, Arts Council Wales Lead Creative Schools Programme and the Dylan Thomas Centre. She also tours schools and other venues, and regularly appears at literature festivals.
Sarah Todd Taylor: I am a children’s writer living in beautiful mid Wales. My first book, Arthur and Me, won the Firefly Children’s Book Competition 2014. I love cats and puzzles and the theatre, three things that made their way into my Max the Detective Cat series which is published by Nosy Crow. I have also had short stories in various anthologies and newspapers and a monologue on Radio 5.
