Bell Lomax Moreton
I joined Bell Lomax Moreton in 2014 and have been building my list ever since across children’s fiction and adult non-fiction. I graduated in 2009 with a degree in English Literature and Drama from the University of Manchester, and have a background in lifestyle journalism and PR.
When it comes to children’s fiction, I’m looking for young fiction through to YA. I have a real love of ‘funny’ books, whether it’s animals, wacky grandparents or the messy and awkward side of growing up – I don’t think we can ever underestimate the power of a proper belly laugh.
I’m always attracted to stories with a big, original voice at their heart, and anything with a surprising or unexpected twist. I’d also love to see more contemporary set, high concept middle grade, as well as a truly spooky ghost story and something fun/funny set in space.
When I’m not reading or terrorizing my authors (just kidding), you can usually find me hanging out with my puppy Arnie and attempting to bribe him to rollover/stop chewing my books.
